Undergraduates and those pursuing their MBA will find many available scholarships that are worth looking in to.

National Business Scholarships

The National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) offers a Future Entrepreneur Scholarship to help promote the entrepreneur spirit in students.

This undergraduate scholarship offers $12,000 the first year and $4,000 each year after for three years for a total of $24,000. Read more here. If you are a full time college or university student who has a passion for entrepreneurship, OdiWorks, LLC offers a $500 academic scholarship as well.

Students majoring in Finance will be happy to know the Government Finance Officers Association offers various scholarships such as the Public Employee Retirement Research and Administration Scholarship ($4,000), the George A. Nielsen Public Investor Scholarship ($5,000), the Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship ($10,000), the GFOA Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship ($5,000), and the Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship ($3,500). More information available at their site.

Graduating high school seniors can contact their guidance office to see if a Community Bankers Scholarship Program is available from a bank in their area. It is offered by banks in Illinois, Texas, Tennessee, and Oklahoma.

The National Business Association (NBA) has a scholarship program for dependents of current NBA members. College freshmen, sophomores, and juniors as well as high school seniors are eligible for the $1,500 scholarship. High school students should have an ACT score of between 18 and 26 or an SAT score of 850 to 1190.

Accounting majors who have a 3.0 GPA should apply for the National Society of Accountants Scholarship program. Scholarships are awarded to undergraduates who have a 3.0 GPA in the amount of $500, $1,000 and $2,000.

Minority Business Scholarships

The University of Missouri, Columbia has many business scholarships set aside for minority students. The Gladys M. Wagner Scholarship for Students with Disabilities is awarded to a disabled student with a business or accounting major. The Black Business Students Association and State Farm Cos. Foundation Scholarships aid sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have achieved a high academic standard and show financial need. Freshman minorities at the University of Missouri, Columbia majoring in business can apply for the Ponder Freshman Minority Scholarship.

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) offers scholarships for minority accounting students. Up to $5,000 is awarded to minority accounting majors who have an overall GPA of at least 3.3. It is available for both graduate and undergraduate students. The scholarships are available to female students who are attending school full time or part time and majoring in accounting.

Each year the National Black MBA Association scholarship is awarded to graduate students in business programs throughout the United States. This award offers up to $15,000 to twenty five full-time MBA students who meet the scholarship requirements.
