Yes, educational summer camps provide a worthy option for parents stuck with a public education. Kids tracked for college may gain an intellectual summer experience that keeps them motivated; and motivation may be the biggest hurtle they’ll have to jump.

Grades 8-12 students with a talent should check out scholarship awards through various contest organizations. Spelling bees, beauty pageants, and debate contests all offer monetary awards often designed as educational scholarships. Does your child have a talent in the performing arts? Private arts schools invite talented students to try-outs annually. Most provide attractive scholarships to very talented students.
And don’t forget the monetary scholarship opportunities that each school might offer. Most are dedicated to diversity and provide monetary gifts to academically motivated students.
